About Lee Anne Hall
Lee Anne Hall grew up surrounded by art, storytelling and cultural knowledge. Her parents, Pam Brandy-Hall and Phillip Hall, are both artists and helped shape her interest in painting and contemporary Aboriginal design.
Stories and knowledge shared throughout Lee Anne’s childhood continue to influence her work. She combines vivid colours with earthy ochre tones, dynamic lines and bold shapes to create detailed modern designs.
Australian flora and fauna also provide inspiration for many of her graphic motifs. Through these influences, Lee Anne creates contemporary artwork while maintaining connections to family, culture and Country.
Individually Hand-Painted Artwork
Lee Anne paints each wooden frame individually rather than reproducing the design as a print. As a result, every frame has its own arrangement of colours, lines and patterns.
Her artwork draws on themes including Dreaming stories, land, animals and waterways. These subjects reflect the importance of Country and the natural environment within her work.
The hand-painted surface transforms a functional photo frame into an individual piece of Aboriginal art. The compact 15 × 10 cm size makes it suitable for displaying on a desk, shelf, bedside table or other small space.
