Bush Medicine – Polyester Tie

Artwork: Bush Medicine Dreaming relates to the leaves of a plant traditionally associated with healing practices. The leaves are collected and prepared as part of bush medicine traditions, which have been passed through generations.

In this artwork, Sharon Numina uses repeated leaf shapes to represent this subject. The leaves radiate across the composition and create a strong sense of rhythm and movement. Meanwhile, the contrast between the light leaves and dark background gives the design a distinctive visual impact.

The orange, cream and neutral tones add warmth to the painting while allowing the individual leaf forms to remain clearly defined. As a result, the artwork works well as both a cultural piece and a visually striking addition to an art collection.
