Artwork: This tells the story of women gathering by the campsite to participate in storytelling. Special dances, music and songs are performed about the cycle of women’s lives.

Dora began painting for Mbantua Gallery in 2003. She paints the story of the Bush Plum Dreaming and her mother’s story as does her sister, Betty Mpeytyane – a well known and respected artist from Utopia region. Dora is the daughter of  the late Minnie Pwerle and has four children and six grandchildren herself.

Intially Dora wworked in the medium of batik along with over eighty other women from the Utopia Region in Central Australia. Her work in batik is featred in  “Utopia – A Picture Story”

Barabara Weir is Dora’s older sister. With the influence s of Barbara, Betty and Minnie, Dora will undoubtedly share her artistic influence for many years to come.
