Artwork: This painting depicts the gathering of bush tucker after the rain, when the barren desert has been transformed into an abundancy of wild bush foods -the food is then shared at the corroboree. A Corroboree is a spiritual ceremonial meeting, whereby we celebrate the Dreaming through song, dance, and storytelling.
As a Bundjalung artist, I paint stories about the Dreamtime, myths, Aboriginal survival, land, animals and waterways. I use rich vivid colours, earth tones and traditional style to tell the stories of the Dreamtime, my country, and my people.
