Warlukurlangu Artists is based in
Yuendumu, about three and a half hours drive NW of Alice Springs. Established
in 1985, it is one of the most significant Aboriginal art centres in Australia.
Over 400men, women and children make up the membership of the Association, open
to Warlpiri and Anmatyerre people from Yuendumu and surrounding homelands. The
art centre is 100% Aboriginal owned, and as befits its non-profit making
status, returns over two thirds of the proceeds from sales of artworks to its
membership.
Cross Cultural Projects Bridging the economic, creative and
cultural gap between Aboriginal artists & global artisans through the arts
enterprise. Taking themes from their original painting, Aboriginal artists
have created the design which appears on this exclusive product. Designed in
Australia, reproduced in Kashmir under Australian supervision.
These striking Christmas decorations are made from recycled paper, hand
